Earning £200+ with Bingo Blitz on FreeCash*: Tips & Strategy

With the Monopoly GO offer not requiring too much time investment, I decided to take on a second mobile game. After browsing FreeCash* for a new "get paid to" opportunity, I chose Bingo Blitz on IOS.

What Is Bingo Blitz?

Bingo Blitz is a free-to-play mobile game that uses virtual bingo credits. to be clear you won't be gambling real money here (PocketPounds does not have any gambling content), though there are plenty of optional in-app purchases like extra credits, gems, and power-ups.

However, the rewards you earn from playing on FreeCash* are very real. Here's a breakdown of the challenges and rewards based on my account's 4/5 multiplier. Keep in mind that rewards and offers may vary for each FreeCash* user depending on their personal multiplier and other customisations.

Rewards Breakdown By City:

Each city represents a level that you must clear:

  • New York (City 2): £0.40
  • Sydney (City 4): £0.80
  • Venice (City 9): £1.60
  • London (City 7): £2.40 (oddly a lower level than Venice)
  • Jamaica (City 14): £4
  • Rio (City 19): £8
  • Buenos Aires (City 35): £24
  • Copenhagen (City 55): £60
  • Fiji (City 66): £80

You have 30 days to reach these levels.

There are also a couple of timed challenges:

  • Reach Rome (City 25) within 6 days for £24
  • Reach Seychelles (City 46) within 10 days for £80

Daily Play Rewards

The game offers steady rewards just for playing a few minutes daily:

  • £0.04 per day (Play for 2 minutes)
  • £0.12 (Play on 7 different days)
  • £1.20 (Play on 20 different days)
  • £2 (Play on 40 different days)

This creates a good balance of achievable daily rewards and tougher challenges that pay higher amounts.

How Bingo Blitz Works

Bingo Blitz is a traditional bingo game where you can play with 1-4 cards. Numbers are called out (themed to each city level), and you mark them off until you get a bingo. Power-ups add a fun twist, allowing you to mark extra numbers or create instant bingos.

To advance through cities, you collect a set of photos. Some bingo cards have these attached, and getting a bingo on those cards wins you the photo. Complete the photo set to move to the next city.

There are also side games running every few days. These are usually simple, like rolling dice on themed boards. The main side challenge is a cooking game where you collect ingredients to cook dishes, which then give you more in-game rewards like credits or power-ups.

Bingo Blitz+ Free Trial

One of the in-app purchases is Bingo Blitz+, a monthly membership priced at £13.49. Conveniently, there was a one-month free trial available when I started, which proved extremely helpful. The trial offered extra rewards in side games and other in-game benefits. I signed up for the trial, immediately cancelled it, and enjoyed the full 30 days of benefits without paying a penny.

From what I found, this free trial seems to be always available for new players, but this could change at any time.

My Experience With The Offer

I decided to target the timed challenges, aiming for Rome in 6 days for £24 and Seychelles in 10 days for £80. I reached Rome in 4 days and Seychelles by the end of day 7.

Progress tracked well on FreeCash*, although some completions took 12-24 hours to register. There is a warning on FreeCash* that this might happen with Bingo Blitz. Reaching Seychelles took me about 35 hours of game time according to iOS Screen Time. Some of that time was idle, but it's safe to say it was a huge time investment.

Strategy for Progressing

I played conservatively to avoid running out of bingo credits. I always used 4 cards per game, but started with the lower-cost bingo games to preserve credits. As I gained confidence in balancing costs and rewards, I switched to higher-cost bingo options.

During my first week, I completed the dice-rolling side game hundreds of times due to the amount of rolls I earned. These side game rewards, along with credits, kept me afloat, and my balance slowly increased instead of depleting.

A key feature that helped with city progress is the card trading system. Most photos needed to complete a city can be traded, and I found it helpful to friend people randomly in the chat rooms from the list of people chatting. Some players would even hand out photos for nothing in return to those who asked, although for the most part you trade each others spares as needed. On some cities I barely had to play as I got handed so many spare cards, just from politely asking for them in the chat.

Continued Progress

As mentioned, after 7 days I reached Seychelles (City 46), leaving only Copenhagen (City 55) and Fiji (City 66) to complete all challenges within 30 days. With plenty of time left, I scaled back my playing and focused on daily play rewards. As of now, I’m at Washington D.C. (City 59), with only 6 cities left to go to achieve the final challenge & reward.

Unfortunately, my bingo credits have dropped from 52k to 23k, so I’m not confident I’ll reach Fiji (as I will not be purchasing any with real money). But I’ll update this post with the final result.

Final Thoughts

As of now, I’ve earned £205.20 from FreeCash* through this offer. This doesn’t include the daily play rewards, which will add a few more pounds to the total.

I did spend £17.91 on in-app purchases, but FreeCash* rebated £16 of that, so my effective cost was just £1.91. I really only did this to try and keep my 4/5 rewards multiplier on FreeCash*, but it’s since dropped to 1/5, which will hugely lower the payouts on my future game offers. The purchases had no bearing on how well I progressed & I could have gone without them. The Bingo Blitz+ free trial was what really helped.
