Monopoly GO on FreeCash: My Experience*

I’ve been eyeing the Monopoly GO offer for a while now on FreeCash*, but I noticed the iOS version of the offer is significantly better than the Android one. Since I recently switched to an iPhone, it’s the perfect opportunity to dive in and start playing this game via FreeCash*.

The £294 Potential Reward

The offer I’m looking at comes with a potential reward of £294 for completing all the game challenges. My account has a 4 out of 5-star reward multiplier, rewards do vary depending on an accounts multiplier and other personalised offers.

As with most game offers like this, the reality is that I’ll probably earn only a fraction of this amount. Most of the larger rewards are for reaching really high levels, which I suspect will be practically impossible without significant in-game spending.

The Game Challenges and Rewards

The main challenge is to reach specific board levels within set time limits. Here’s a breakdown of the early challenges;

  • Board 3 in 1 day – 8p reward
  • Board 5 in 2 days – 24p reward
  • Board 11 in 5 days – 80p reward

After these, the rewards become more substantial.

  • Board 26 in 10 days – £32 reward
  • Board 55 in 16 days – £40 reward

Rewards continue through to an eventual £80 for board 125 within 50 days. After playing for a day, I’m sceptical about completing anything past board 11 for the 80p reward within the time limits. However, one major advantage of the iOS version is the additional rewards just for playing daily.

Daily Rewards for Playing

On iOS, FreeCash* is offering me a daily reward of 2p for simply playing for 2 minutes a day (up to a maximum number of days).

Other Time-based rewards are on offer the longer you play, for example:

  • 80p for playing on 7 different days
  • £16 for playing on 120 different days

There are other rewards in between the 7 day and 120 day challenges. This means if/when my progress in the game stalls, I should be able to make over £20 whatever happens, just by playing for a few minutes each day.

The Game’s Popularity and Fun Factor

Monopoly GO has consistently ranked in the top 10 free games on the App Store, and it’s well-reviewed, so a lot of people are playing purely for fun, without any financial incentive. For me, it’s crucial that any game I commit to for a FreeCash* offer is enjoyable.

FreeCash* game offers are a great way to discover new games. I’ve found plenty that I’ve ended up continuing to play even after the rewards were claimed or expired. However, many of these offers require a significant time commitment, so if the game isn’t fun, it’s probably not worth it for the rewards alone.

Gameplay: Easy and Relaxed

Monopoly GO is simple and fun. You roll dice to move around the board, complete mini-games, and spin wheels based on whatever special events are running in the game. Free rolls accumulate over time.

I’ve found that logging in 3 times a day—once in the morning, at lunch, and then again in the evening—is enough to make the most of the free rolls. This makes it an ideal offer to have running in the background while taking on another more complex FreeCash* game offer at the same time.

As always, I’ll update this post with details on the challenges I complete, the rewards I manage to earn, and any tips I pick up along the way.

Update: 30 September 2024

As expected, the Board 26 in 10 days for a £32 reward didn’t appear to be achievable, I was stuck on Board 25 with just a few hours left before the deadline. Then, I hit a huge stroke of luck, completing several side event challenges running in the game at the time. This earned me thousands of free rolls, which ended up taking hours to use, even with a 50x roll multiplier.

I powered through Board 26 and managed to reach Board 52 in just one night. As a result, I claimed the £32 reward for reaching Board 26, without needing any in-app purchases.

Continued Progress and Big Wins

The next day, I won the in-game tournament for the most progress over the last 3 days, which earned me another 1,500 rolls. Along with a fresh batch of collection cards and in-game cash to upgrade my buildings, this win unlocked even more rolls. At this point, I decided to spend £5 on a special offer in-app purchase (which came with a £3.73 rebate via FreeCash*).

This purchase was a strategic move—it got me enough rolls to then earn another 1,750 rolls from a side game event I was close to completing. With these 3,000+ rolls, I cruised all the way through to Board 63, comfortably hitting the board 55 within 16 days challenge, for an additional £40 reward on FreeCash*.

What’s Next: Board 85 or Beyond?

Now, the next challenge is to reach Board 85 within 21 days. However, progress has slowed significantly in regular daily play, and upgrading buildings on each board is getting very expensive. So, I think it’s very unlikely that I’ll manage to hit this target.

That said, I’m not too concerned. I’ve already earned £73.12 in rewards for reaching the milestones I’ve hit so far & only spent a effective £1.27 once I get the purchase rebate via FreeCash* for the £5 purchase

A Solid Payout

Along with the £20+ I’m set to earn from the daily play rewards (after playing 2 minutes a day for 120 days), this offer has turned out to be fantastic overall. All in all, this has proven to be a solid offer & well worth the time investment. Plus, Monopoly GO is a genuinely fun game, so I’ll likely keep playing even after the rewards are over.

Update 10th October 2024: The rewards keep coming!

With a few hours to go before the "reach board 85 within 21 days for £56" challenge, Once again the side games & some luck meant I was getting very close to hitting the target. I decided to make a £19.99 in app purchase, for which I will receive a £11.47 rebate via FreeCash*, so an effective £8.53. Once these purchased rolls had played out, I was sitting at board 91, and so unlocking the £56 reward.

I now have another 9 days to reach board 100 for a £64 rewards. Lets see how it goes...
